Overview

The TDI Air Diluent CCR Decompression Procedures Diver course is the second-level certification in CCR diving, expanding capability from minimal decompression into planned staged decompression diving.

Divers develop the ability to manage decompression obligations, gas switching strategies, and extended exposure profiles using a closed circuit rebreather with air as a diluent.

Training focuses on advanced dive planning, PO₂ management, bailout strategy, and decompression execution, where precision and discipline are critical.

At N9BO℠, this course is delivered as operational CCR training, building control, redundancy thinking, and execution under increased task loading.

What You’ll Learn

Prerequisites

FAQ

This course moves from minimal decompression to full staged decompression diving.

You will learn to manage:

  • Decompression stops
  • Extended dive profiles
  • More complex gas planning

You are certified to a maximum of 40 metres / 130 feet, but now with planned decompression obligations.

You will learn:

  • Decompression planning and execution
  • Oxygen management during ascent
  • Bailout strategy for decompression dives
  • CNS and exposure tracking

  • Missed decompression obligations
  • Oxygen toxicity during decompression
  • Equipment or gas failures during extended exposure

You are qualified to conduct unit-specific CCR dives with air diluent involving staged decompression, managing PO₂, decompression schedules, and bailout procedures within your training limits.
