Course Facts
Course name: SDI Advanced Adventure Diver
Level: Continuing Education Diver Programme
Minimum prerequisites: Minimum age 10, SDI Open Water Scuba Diver (or equivalent)
Ratio: Maximum of 8 students per instructor (small groups recommended for quality training)
Configuration: Students use standard recreational scuba equipment together with equipment appropriate to the selected Adventure Dives. Depending on the dives selected, equipment may include dive computers, navigation equipment, night diving equipment, search and recovery equipment, deep diving equipment, delayed surface marker buoys
Depth / environment: 30 metres / 100 feet, Open water dive sites, Coastal diving environments, Inland diving environments, Conditions appropriate to selected Adventure Dives
Format: Knowledge development + speciality briefings + Adventure Dives + skills development + instructor evaluation
Duration: Approximately 2 days, 5 open water dives
