PADI Tec Trimix 65

Introduce helium, reduce narcosis, and execute deeper decompression dives with precision and control

Duration
5 days, 5 dives

Max Depth
65m / 210ft

Level
Technical (Trimix Entry)

Next Step
PADI Tec Trimix

Overview

The PADI Tec Trimix 65 course introduces helium-based gas mixtures, allowing divers to extend depth while reducing narcosis and maintaining operational clarity.

Building on Tec 50, divers learn to plan and execute decompression dives using trimix as bottom gas, while managing multiple decompression gases and complex ascent profiles.

At N9BO℠, this is where divers transition into true mixed-gas technical diving — where precision, discipline, and gas strategy define safe execution.

FAQ

Trimix is a breathing gas composed of oxygen, nitrogen, and helium. Helium is added to reduce nitrogen narcosis and improve clarity and performance at depth.

Tec Trimix 65 introduces helium-based bottom gas, allowing deeper dives while reducing narcosis, along with increased decompression complexity and stricter gas management.

Yes. Tec 50 may be conducted using trimix (helium-based gas) as part of the Tec 50 Trimix option. This reduces narcosis and improves diver performance at depth while maintaining the same maximum depth.

You will complete 5 dives, including one confined or limited open water session followed by four open water decompression dives.

You will be qualified to conduct trimix dives to 65 metres and progress into full Tec Trimix training, extending depth and complexity further.
